Trying new food, the other biggest reason why we both love to travel. And when it comes to Asia, the fusion of aromatic flavors with very old generation passed recipes makes it very exotic. So in this blog, we will share Top 10 Asian food you must try according to us.

1.TOM YAM KUNG

A.K.A Tom yum goong, is a type of hot and sour soup originally comes from Thai cuisine. The Tom Yam originates from 2 Thai words, tom means boiling and Yam means spicy and sour Thai salad.

This spicy shrimp soup is prepared with quintessential Thai ingredients like lemongrass, galangal, Kaffier lime leaves, shallots, fresh lime juice, fish sauce and a lot of crushed red chilies. Traditionally it is prepared with seafood, mostly shrimps but you can always add any type of meat you like.

2. SZECHWAN CHILLI CHICKEN

As the name suggests, this one is extremely fiery when it comes to spiciness. Traditionally it is made with Sichuan chilies which are grown in a region of China called Sichuan. However, in India, Szechuan Chicken got a makeover and is prepared with a Szechuan style Chili paste/ sauce transformed to match Indian tastes.

Butter Chicken is prepared in two parts, first preparing the gravy and later being grilling the marinated chicken separately before you add it in the gravy. 4. JAPCHAE

Japchae from Korean cuisine is a sweet and savory appetizer of stir-fried glass noodles and various vegetables. It is created with Dangmyeon, a type of cellophane noodles made from sweet potato starch. These noodles are topped with assorted vegetables like spring onions, bell peppers, beef or chicken, and mushrooms, and seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil.

It is not very spicy and has a sweet taste which comes from the soy sauce and also from the noodles. It is usually served as a side dish during lunch or dinner.

5. PHO

Any Asian food list is incomplete without mention of Pho. It’s not only a big part of Vietnamese cuisine but also world cuisine. Typically from Vietnam, this dish is prepared in several ways and is served from being a street food to a fancy restaurant main course.

6.CHICKEN ADOBO

This is one of the most popular Filipino food and it rightfully deserves to be in the top 10 Asian food you must try. Adobo word comes from Spain, which literally means sauce or a type of dressing in the Spanish language.

This is one of the easiest dishes to make. The recipe involves – soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, garlic, peppercorns and your choice of pork or chicken (or both).

It has occasionally been considered as the unofficial national dish in the Philippines. So if you are planning to visit the Philippines, trying this dish should be one of the reasons.

7. PAD THAI

From Los Angeles to Bangkok, Pad Thai is the most traditional Thai noodles. The unique flat shaped noodles are prepared in several ways. We like it with chicken but it can be prepared with seafood, beef or pork.

9. MALAI KOFTA

10. MOMOS OR DUMPLINGS

Momos are a staple snack in the Himalayan regions like North India, Nepal, Bhutan etc. Originally from Tibetan cuisine, Momos are prepared pretty much like dumplings and often referred as dumplings also in some regions.
